AIOffice AI Add-in

Privacy notice

This notice describes the personal-information handling that may be involved in the current release's installation, use, updates, feedback, AI assistance, account, and community features.

Account information

The service may store a unified user ID, login identifier, display name, username, phone number, email address, creation time, and last sign-in time for community identity, account security, customer support, and future entitlements. Display names may be public; phone numbers, email addresses, and account identifiers are masked by default.

Community content

Topics, replies, tags, views, and reply statistics posted by users are stored by the service and displayed publicly. Administrators may hide, close, or change the status of rule-breaking content.

AI feature data

When users actively use translation, summarization, custom AI, command generation, or AIGEN functions, the service may process selected content, document excerpts, prompts, and necessary context to complete the request, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.

Operational and feedback data

When users submit feedback, they may upload contact details, issue descriptions, screenshots, logs, attachments, or dump files. Logs and dumps may contain system information, Office/Windows and add-in versions, file paths, error context, and exception details; confirm or redact them before submission. Feedback and request records are normally kept for 7–15 days, and may be retained longer to handle major faults, security incidents, disputes, or legal requirements.

Device identifiers and statistics

To prevent abuse of free allowances and protect authorization and service security, the service may generate a device identifier from the local environment that cannot directly reconstruct original hardware details. It is used for deduplication, allowance checks, abnormal-use detection, and troubleshooting, not advertising profiles. We do not upload raw hardware serial numbers, MAC addresses, or disk serial numbers. Add-in and Office/Windows versions, feature status, error codes, request times, IP addresses, and ordinary server logs may be used for troubleshooting, stability analysis, version-compatibility statistics, and security protection.

Third-party services

This release does not use third-party payments, third-party sign-in, or third-party analytics SDKs, and no formal paid plan is available. Before enabling any such capability, we will update this notice and describe the third party, purpose, information types, and user choices.
